JASON GUNERATNE
Jason is a leader of the Practice and an experienced structural engineer. He has a long track record of successful project delivery in London and across the UK. With a career marked by outstanding achievements, innovative solutions, and a commitment to excellence, Jason Set up CRE8 Structures with the intention of delivering clients with a personalised service that is really only possible from a small practice.

Jason is an active member of the Institute of Structural Engineers and he has been involved in a number of industry steering groups; CIRIA Foresight 2002 - Constructing the future; IStructE - Stability of Buildings - Shear Core Design 2013, Jason is a Member of the IStructE Futures Committee, Working as part of the institute to plan its future responses in an ever changing world. His sectors experience spans residential, commercial, leisure and transport buildings. Jason has worked on a range of major national and international projects including projects involving innovative engineering and ground-breaking construction techniques. Jason led the structural design of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport satellite building, the air- rights development at Federation Square in Melbourne, Australia, and the design of 10 and 20 Brock Street, Euston for British Land.
Since setting out on his career, over 35 years ago, Jason has had a passion for addressing the unique challenges posed by the interface between buildings and railway infrastructure. He has been actively engaged in industry initiatives, contributing valuable insights and expertise to elevate the discourse surrounding structural engineering. Jason has emerged as a thought leader and analytical person, consistently delivering innovative solutions that ensure the seamless integration of structures alongside above ground and underground railway systems.
His projects have not only met the stringent safety and engineering standards but have also contributed to the overall efficiency, functionality, and aesthetics of the built environment. Recognised for his ability to navigate complex design challenges, Jason has led numerous high- profile projects, leaving an indelible mark on the urban landscape. Whether it is the development of transit-oriented structures, station buildings, or other facilities interfacing with railways, He has consistently demonstrated a keen understanding of the intricacies involved and a commitment to delivering sustainable and resilient solutions.

He is now developing the practice with the development of next generation of leaders who will carry CRE8 Structures into the future.
