CRE8 Structures are the retained structural engineers at 1 Canada Square, responsible for reviewing and assessing the structural implications of refurbishment works and modification, that are proposed by tenants, on the existing floor plates and structure.

Recent refurbishment works include:

• Creating new openings in the metal desk floor plates to allow the installation of new access stairs thus creating access between levels 7 to 9.
• The change of use of the floor areas from ordinary office occupancy to data centre loading requirements at level 27.
• Installation of a new light-weight mezzanine floor at M1 level within the lift core area.
