The building is located to the south of Soho Square and was originally built circa 1770’s as a Hospital for Women. Over the years the building has been altered/refurbished and is currently used as office space. The building is a listed Grade II heritage asset within the Soho Conservation Area.

The client wished to undertake alterations/refurbishment of the existing building and requested that CRE8 Structures undertake:

  • A feasibility study of whether a one floor extension could be accommodated and to advise on the structural implications.
  • A visual condition survey of below pavement vaults to report on assessed damage and to identify possible structural remedial solutions.
  • Review feasibility of achieving alterations whilst retaining existing facades.
  • Assessment on the impacts of rearranging non-load bearing partitions.
