The Royal Lancaster Hotel is located north of and close to Hyde Park and is adjacent to Lancaster Gate underground tube station.
CRE8 Structures undertook the design of the reconfigured forecourt and entrance area.This was the renew the entrance to the lobby and banqueting hall of this 1970 landmark building in central London.
The demolition to the existing front porch area and tight turning circle for vehicular drop of created a more generous drop of area for drive in only. The drop of route was amended to a through route and exit to the west with a access ramp. The more generous circular drop was complimented with the new green wall an planted area. All reinforced concreate elements and steelwork required where designed by CRE8 Structures. Foundations were complicated as some were placed over the existing basement of the hotel which extended into the old courtyard area.
